Without A Smile

Times have changed...people have changed...

All that's left of a family is now broken...

We exist as a medium... a memory...

Nothing else remains...

Once a proud family... now there is only shards of glass and blood....

Only ties that hold us together are spoken name...

I know not the meaning of love...or the meaning of what it means to be a friend...

I only know a person as friend or foe...

I live my life alone in a crowd of people...

Tears of pain hidden behind laughter...

I am but a shard of a memory of someone once proud...

I only exist in the hearts of those who once loved me...
